Spot Skin Cancer

The American Academy of Dermatology created a helpful infographic to help the public check their skin regularly for skin cancer. Self-screening exams for skin cancer do seem to help people catch skin cancers earlier--theoretically before they can cause real harm (Ref: Ersser et al. British Journal of Dermatology, 2019). We recommend that adolescents and adults check themselves once per month for new or changing spots on their skin.
